About Me
Alysia has a deep passion for design and dance, fueled by her upbringing in a family of artists. She embarked on a full-time journey into fashion design during the pandemic, earning a full scholarship to pursue her MFA at the Academy of Art University. Her vision is to merge choreography and fashion, creating immersive performances where movement transforms fashion, serving as powerful vehicles for self-expression. Alysia has created costumes for Amy Seiwert’s Imagery and Ziru Dance as well as choreographing and creating the designs for her MFA thesis collection “V” and the Fashion Sphere Competition at CCSF. Alysia also holds a BFA in Dance with a Minor in Arts Management from SUNY Purchase. With over a decade of professional dance experience, she's danced with the Sacramento Ballet, Metropolitan Opera, SF Opera, Dawson Dance, Smuin Ballet, SFDanceworks, Radiocity and more. Choreographing for Sacramento Ballet and Ziru Dance, as well as teaching at ODC, Berkeley Ballet, West Coast Dance and other schools around the bay.
